Bringing Playminded into your setting

Playminded works with schools and nurseries in different ways, bringing together distinct areas of my work to create opportunities for children, young people and the grown-ups around them.

Explore the different ways Playminded could work within your setting below.

Play Therapy & Therapeutic Support

Play Therapy provides children and young people with a safe and accepting therapeutic space to explore and express themselves through play and creativity, at a pace that feels right for them.

Alongside individual Play Therapy, I can work with schools and organisations to explore wider therapeutic support, including small-group therapeutic work, consultation and support for staff, parent support and attachment-based programmes, and mental health and wellbeing workshops or assemblies.

For Play Therapy referrals or to explore therapeutic support within your setting:

‍ Playminded Pause Sessions

‍Play • Move • Pause • Create • Connect

Playminded Pause brings together yoga, movement and play, with connection and relationships at its heart.

Playminded pause sessions can be adapted for different age groups and settings, bringing together yoga and movement with storytelling, games, imagination, creativity, breathing, guided imagery and relaxation.

Playminded Pause can be offered through regular sessions, after-school clubs, short programmes, one-off workshops and special events.

Family Pause sessions can also be offered within school and nursery communities, inviting children and their grown-ups to move, play and Pause together.

There’s no perfect pose and no one way to Pause.

Little pauses. Lots of fun.

My Pause • Your Pause • Our Pause.

Parent Support

Playminded can work alongside schools and nurseries to offer parent and carer support, creating opportunities to think together about children's emotional needs, relationships and the experiences of both children and the grown-ups around them.

This can include the Circle of Security Parenting Programme, offered individually or in groups, alongside parent workshops, conversations and other opportunities shaped around the needs of your setting and community.
